What is soy blend wax?

Our soy blend wax is also known as parasoy. Parasoy is a blend of paraffin wax and soy wax. The benefits of this blend include strong cold and hot scent throws, extended burn times, and a smooth, creamy look. Both waxes are non-toxic and clean burning.

My candle is releasing soot. How do I fix it?

Soot is a natural byproduct of incomplete combustion. It can be produced if there is carbon build-up on the wicks, if the wick becomes too long, if the candle is burned for an extended amount of time, or if the candle is receiving a draft or air current from a vent, window, or ceiling fan. To prevent soot from being released be sure to keep wicks trimmed, do not exceed 4-hour burn time intervals, and place the candle away from vents, open windows, and ceiling fans.

Why isn't my candle releasing a strong fragrance?

Fragrances are not composed the same way; therefore, some fragrances will be stronger than others. Try moving your candle to a smaller room or to a different area after it has been extinguished and cooled completely.

Why is it recommended to not exceed burning my candle for more than 4 hours?

Burning your candle for more than 4 hours can cause the glass to overheat which may lead to it shattering. Around the 4 hour mark, the wick becomes longer causing the flames to burn higher and sometimes produce excess soot.

Why do I need to trim the wicks on my candle?

Trimming your wicks will prevent your candle from tunneling and releasing excess soot. A trimmed wick helps your candle burn more evenly, ensures safe flame height, and prolongs burn times. When wicks become too long, they melt wax faster and cause the glass to overheat.
Wicks can be trimmed with wick trimmers, scissors, or nail clippers. Be careful not to cut your wicks too short or it will cause your wicks to drown in wax.

My candle is not burning evenly. How do I fix it?

It is completely normal for your candle to have leftover wax in the corners after the first few burns. Because of the nature of our wax blend, it takes longer for our candles to create full melt pools. Full melt pools are less likely at the beginning of your candle's life and more likley towards the halfway point or end. This does not negatively impact your candle's scent throws.
